The Teen Collective

For ages 11–15 | A program for teens who crave connection, purpose, and community

At Blue Bridge School, we believe the teen years are a time for big questions, bold ideas, and belonging. The Teen Collective is our newest offering for homeschooling families who want more for their adolescent learners: more meaningful connection, more real-world learning, and more support as they navigate who they are and where they’re going.

This is not your typical teen group. This is a launchpad for growth—with community at its core.

What We Offer:

🧭 Flying Squad (Twice Monthly)
Our teens hit the streets as part of a Flying Squad—youth-led urban adventures where the group decides where to go, how to spend their time, and what matters most. No pre-planned field trips here. Instead, we start in a shared public space (usually a library), reflect in a communal journal, and set out to explore together. These experiences build agency, collaboration, and critical thinking—plus, they’re just plain fun.

Flying Squads help teens explore the right to public space and the reality of youth navigating a world built for adults. It’s part civic engagement, part social experiment, and always full of surprises.

🛠️ Project-Based Learning (Twice Monthly)
In our group project sessions, teens collaborate on hands-on challenges, from creative builds and science experiments to community initiatives and entrepreneurial ventures. These projects are designed to stretch their skills, foster teamwork, and celebrate each student’s unique strengths.

🤝 Connection & Mentorship
Our teens grow in relationship with each other and with caring adult mentors who see them, support them, and help guide their path. We host space for deep conversations, shared struggles, and joyful wins. We’re building a true teen community—one that feels safe, inspiring, and full of purpose.

🎓 Academic & Career Support
We meet each learner where they are and help them set meaningful goals for the road ahead. Whether that’s navigating algebra, writing a resume for their first internship, or thinking about college—or not college—we’re here for it all.

🌱 Life Skills & Goal Setting
We teach teens how to set goals that matter to them, reflect on their growth, and develop the soft skills that actually make a difference: communication, collaboration, initiative, and self-awareness.

Who Our Teen Community is For

  • Homeschooling families with preteens and teens (ages 11–15)

  • Learners who are craving more structure, purpose, and peer connection

  • Families who value autonomy, creativity, and real-world learning

  • Teens who might be bored, lonely, or ready for the next step in their growth

Why It Matters

Adolescence doesn’t have to be isolating for homeschoolers. With the right mix of freedom, support, and challenge, teens thrive. The Blue Bridge Teen Collective gives your child a chance to belong—to a community that listens, challenges, and believes in who they’re becoming.
