Self-Directed Teens

Courses, projects, and community for teens

Self-Directed Teens

Our center offers self-directed courses, projects, field experiences, and a community of peers for teens. Check out our offerings below.

Our Offerings

  • Flying Squad

Our Flying Squad provides young people with time to practice making their own decisions in a nurturing community of human connections through which they can develop relationships and work on self-confidence.

  • Courses

We offer 7-week course sessions for teens, including chemistry, Minecraft coding, and Martial Arts. Courses change each session based on the interests and needs of our community.

  • Projects

Personal Interest Projects (PIPs) are intentional projects or activities that a teen would like to focus their time on. Teens are supported in their PIPs by our dedicated facilitators. Examples of PIPs include: taking an Algebra course, sewing and fashion design, creating a piece of art, or learning how to play chess.
